Gas and air treatment for the process industry

At the ACHEMA in Frankfurt, from June 11 to 15, 2018, forward-looking products for processes in chemical engineering, process engineering, and biotechnology are the focus. The complex processes in these areas demand innovative solutions – also in the field of air treatment. The company Munters, together with Munters Euroform, presents technical systems for humidification, dehumidification, and aerosol separation in highly sensitive processes.

At ACHEMA, the international leading trade fair for the process industry, industry experts exchange ideas to create optimal conditions for production processes. All responsible parties aim for increased efficiency and quality. To achieve this, air quality must also be right. Munters, the specialist for complex air treatment, addresses exactly this aspect in the production process with its expertise. Represented by its two German sister companies Munters GmbH/Hamburg (Dehumidification Systems) and Munters Euroform GmbH/Aachen (Separation Technology), the company is also presenting itself at ACHEMA in 2018. “After the successful appearance in 2015, it was quickly clear that we would participate again in this important trade fair. After all, 85 percent of our order volume is determined by plant construction,” explains Markus Karbach, Managing Director of Munters GmbH and Munters Euroform GmbH.

Munters is aware of the complexity and high demands in process engineering and has continuously worked on the development of industry-relevant products since the last ACHEMA. To showcase the company's expertise to the professional audience more precisely, Munters invites visitors to a technical brunch on the second day of the fair from 9:30 am to 1 pm. Products are explained with application examples – including complete solutions for separating liquids from gas streams.

Solutions for Special Missions

Munters' air treatment solutions respond to the heterogeneous requirements of the industry. Only technologically and physically flawless methods for dehumidification are applied. Munters' solutions are even used in environments with extremely low dew points (LDP) and create optimal climatic conditions for highly sensitive productions. In GMP-certified processes, which are also subject to special hygienic requirements, Munters ensures better air quality. As a result, Munters has made a name for itself with its dehumidifiers, especially in the pharmaceutical sector.

The underlying method involves passing the air to be dehumidified through a rotor, which releases moisture to the sorption medium. As a result, dry air exits the rotor.

ML Series for Particularly Low Humidity Levels

In process engineering, Munters' products from the ML series are frequently used. Especially in chemical processing, unwanted moisture occurs due to high humidity levels, which is reduced with Munters' compact devices. A core component of all dehumidifiers in the ML series is a hermetically sealed functional unit consisting of corrosion-resistant and thermally separated inlet and outlet elements, as well as the integrated adsorption rotor. Munters' energy-efficient air treatment systems intelligently utilize the moisture-adsorbing rotor technology to precisely control climate conditions and significantly reduce energy costs.

Separation Systems from Munters Euroform GmbH

Munters Euroform GmbH complements the trade fair portfolio with fabric and heat exchange components for the process industry. Solutions for material exchange and the separation of gas/liquid streams can be applied, offered, and manufactured, ranging from packs, distributor plates, wire meshes, and beds to impact separators. At the trade fair, the entire functionality will be demonstrated using a model setup. Additionally, there is the opportunity to speak with Munters experts at the booth about individual tasks.
