Future-oriented: Cleanzone 2013 with a focus on technology and life sciences

Exhibitors plan customized booth design

With a sharpened profile and promising prospects, the second Cleanzone will take place on October 22 and 23, 2013, in Frankfurt am Main. The trade fair and congress successfully debuted last year as the new international industry meeting point for cleanroom technology and addresses across industries where production is conducted under cleanroom conditions today and in the future.

In 2013, the trade fair will therefore target more precisely professional visitors from two clear industry focuses: "Technology & Microtechnology" targets sectors such as microelectronics, microsystem technology, semiconductors, aerospace, optics and laser technology, automotive, electronics, and precision mechanics. "Life Sciences" includes pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, medical research, pharmacies, and biotechnology. Overlaps occur in the fields of medical technology and packaging. "By sharpening our profile, we emphasize the interdisciplinary approach of Cleanzone and also target industries that are relatively new to this highly exciting and forward-looking cross-sectional technology," says Johannes Schmid-Wiedersheim, Head of New Events at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition.

Great interest from exhibitors Already, a quarter to three-quarters of a year before the event, the response to the young trade fair is very positive. Many companies have already confirmed their participation as exhibitors. The free event concept is particularly well received, allowing them to present their products, services, and offerings in a very individual way. "In addition to the excellent quality of professional visitors, the industry welcomes our approach of practically demonstrating and making tangible the diversity of applications of cleanrooms."

This applies both to the Cleanzone Plaza action stage with its special lecture program and to the booth design of exhibitors. Therefore, we are pleased that some companies have already announced they will bring very illustrative exhibits to Cleanzone," says Schmid-Wiedersheim.

Cleanzone in Frankfurt

Cleanzone is the new international and cross-industry industry meeting point for cleanroom technology. The organizer is Messe Frankfurt, with the Leipzig Cleanroom Academy acting as marketing and content partner. The debut in October 2012 saw participants from 13 countries in Frankfurt. The trade fair and congress received top marks: 89 percent of visitors and 84 percent of exhibitors were satisfied to very satisfied with the premiere. 46 percent of visitors came from top management, and 88 percent stated they have influence over purchasing and procurement in their companies.

In its second year, both the trade fair and congress are to be expanded internationally and thematically. The next Cleanzone will take place on October 22 and 23, 2013, in Hall 1.1 of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds, parallel to the CPhI global trade fair for pharmaceutical ingredients.
