Not only must legal requirements regarding cleanliness and hygiene be met, but also specific demands concerning the material and quality. For loading machines and production lines, such lifting and tipping devices are the right choice to accelerate work processes and physically relieve employees. The southern German manufacturer EAP Lachnit offers a whole range of stainless steel lifting and tipping devices for handling in food production. These are versatile and, thanks to their stainless steel construction, meet the requirements of the food industry.

The robust lifting and tipping machine type 300 is the basic model and is in continuous use at many companies. It was designed for standard loading carts but can also be equipped for any containers. It features a fully enclosed stainless steel lifting column; the entry direction, tipping direction, and height are adjustable. An optional chassis is available for flexible use in production facilities. The load capacity is up to 350 kilograms (optionally also up to 800 kilograms), with containers being able to be transported up to a tipping height of 2,500 millimeters (optionally higher). High-quality and durable components ensure smooth operation—both in cold and hot environments. The stainless steel surfaces are factory-finished with grinding or sandblasting, making them very easy and efficient to clean. EAP Lachnit also offers the basic model as a pure tipping machine (Type 302) or as a more affordable variant (Type 303), which, despite lower performance values, is suitable for many applications.

Handling heavy loads

For handling heavy loads in food production (as well as cleanrooms), EAP Lachnit has developed the lifting and tipping machine type 322. Thanks to its stainless steel construction, it also meets the highest national and European requirements of the food industry. The extremely robust lifting and tipping device features either single or double support. This allows a DIN loading cart or a large plastic container with up to 1,400 liters of content to be lifted and emptied without modification. It is optionally equipped with a chain (Type 322 K), a timing belt (Type 322 Z), or a maintenance-free flat belt without lubrication (Type 322 L). A key difference from a conventional forklift is that both the chain and flat belt are visibly installed in a single column, making them easy to inspect.

The load capacity or lifting force is up to 800 kilograms (optionally also up to 1,400 kilograms), with containers being able to be transported up to a tipping height of 10,000 millimeters. High-quality and durable components, such as a SEW gear motor with an output of three to four kW and a lifting speed of six meters per minute, ensure smooth operation. The motor voltage and frequency can be adjusted for any power grid worldwide.
