From global trends to particular purity: Cleanzone Congress focuses on key themes of the cleanroom industry

Groundbreaking global and interdisciplinary trends in cleanroom technology are at the forefront on October 22 and 23, 2013, at the Cleanzone Congress in Frankfurt. The event, held parallel to Cleanzone, the international industry meeting point for cleanroom technology, focuses its content specifically on cross-industry and cross-country exchange.

Worldwide, industrial companies are facing increasingly strict regulations, standards, and requirements for the purity of their manufacturing processes and products. At the same time, price competition is intensifying. As a result, cross-industry cost and innovation pressures are rising. Against this background, fundamental questions such as noise reduction, particle deposition monitoring, or the determination of particulate purity are discussed in lectures and discussions, from the automotive industry to medical technology. Additionally, numerous specialized topics such as energy and filtration efficiency in pharmaceutical production are on the agenda.

Cleanroom in the Jungle: Keynote by C. Luis Vasquez
A highlight of the international congress is the keynote speech by C. Luis Vasquez, founder and president of the Yantaló Peru Foundation. The cardiologist reports on the construction of the first "Green Clinic" in the Peruvian Amazon: a diagnostic center that sets new technological standards. In his presentation, he explains the challenge of implementing modern cleanroom standards in the very remote Yantalo region. Other speakers include renowned international experts such as Koos Agricola (VCCN), Rafael Simão Sousa and António Amaral Nunes (University of Minho) with Marco Viera Lopes (Vieira Lopes), Dr.-Ing. Udo Gommel (Fraunhofer Institute IPA), Joachim Ludwig (COLANDIS), as well as Marc Schmidt and Frank Spehl (AAF-Air Technology).

Overall, the congress offers ten main topics: The Future of Cleanroom Technology, Facility Management (Cleanroom Systems), Energy Efficiency, and Cleanroom Testing & Monitoring on the first day, as well as Cleanrooms & Hospitals, Standardization, Nanotechnology & Measurement, Surface Cleanliness, and Services on the second day. The content partner of Messe Frankfurt is the Cleanroom Academy Leipzig. An international expert jury provides advisory support to ensure the high scientific standard of the program. Members include Dipl. Ing. SIA Arnold Brunner (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Switzerland), Frank Duvernell (Cleanroom Academy, Leipzig), Prof. Gernod Dittel (Dittel Engineering, Kochel/Ried), Conor Murray (Irish Cleanrooms Society/ICS, Dublin, Ireland), and Dipl.-Phys. Cleanzone – Knowledge Meets Practice
The Cleanzone Congress takes place in the same venue and at the same time as the Cleanzone trade fair in Hall 1.1. The exhibition is industry-spanning and targets all companies and sectors that produce under cleanroom conditions or plan to use cross-sectional technology in the future. For this purpose, Cleanzone presents nearly the entire spectrum of offerings from planning and implementation to training and consumables. The international innovation prize, endowed with 3,000 euros, will be awarded for the second time on October 23, 2013, by the Cleanroom Academy Leipzig.
