Focus: Components for greater design freedom and easier assembly

Innovations in pipe connection technology and linear technology are at the forefront at this year's Motek. Among the new products that RK Rose+Krieger is presenting in Stuttgart are joint sleeves for the industrial staircase and work platform system (ITAS), a rotation lock for system assemblies, a multi-axis construction kit for portal structures, and the RK MonoLine Z80 linear axis in corrosion-resistant design.

Anti-Twist System makes assembly of system structures child's play

The new rotation lock "Anti-Twist" is now available as an accessory for one-piece RK Light Clamps plastic pipe connectors in size 30 mm. Used in system assemblies, the Anti-Twist system guarantees time-saving assembly and easy adjustment of the construction. The system, made of anodized aluminum pipe (diameter 30 mm) with four profile grooves at 90° angles and black plastic clips made of reinforced polyamide, is freely combinable with all one-piece RK Light Clamps of size 30 mm in closed design. It is not only significantly easier to align and assemble than conventional sheet metal clamps, but also accommodates torsional moments up to three times higher than standard plastic pipe connectors.

Jointly adjustable sleeves ensure maximum design freedom

Three new joint sleeves now complete the catalog range of the RK system for industrial staircases and work platforms (ITAS). The sleeves have a swiveling range of 180° and an internal gear with a 15° raster, which can be removed for stepless adjustment. The joint allows compensation for minor unevenness of the ground and offers maximum design freedom through freely selectable angular positions. To mount the new joint sleeves, which can be combined with all ITAS elements and 40 mm pipes, only a standard tool is required.

New multi-axis construction kit simplifies the design and assembly of portal systems

The new kit allows quick and straightforward realization of line, surface, and space portals based on the RK DuoLine and RK MonoLine series. The multi-axis construction kit includes coordinated structural components such as clamping strips, system plates and angles, universal energy chain holders, and motor adapters for connecting servo motors and planetary gearboxes from all common manufacturers. Corresponding CAD data and detailed assembly instructions facilitate design and assembly.

Corrosion-resistant RK MonoLine Z80

Specifically for applications where condensation and dripping water form due to environmental or manufacturing conditions, RK Rose+Krieger now offers the linear axis RK MonoLine Z80 in a fully corrosion-resistant version. All parts of the axis, which are made of steel in the standard version, have been replaced with stainless steel components. Additionally, pre-drilled drain holes are provided for vertical use of the axis in belt drive deflection, which can be opened by the customer if needed.
