Flexible differential pressure transmitters for HVAC and building technology

The sensor manufacturer Setra Systems is one of the leading producers of capacitive differential pressure transmitters in the HVAC sector. With the new MRX family, a series of models is now offered that is hardly surpassed in terms of versatility and flexibility.

The models feature up to 8 switchable, uni- and bidirectional pressure ranges between 25 and 2,500 Pa. Furthermore, the output signal can be set to 0–5 V, 0–10 V, or 4–20 mA across all models. The MRG, MR1, and MR2 models offer an accuracy of 1% FS, while the MRC model is particularly suitable for critical applications due to its higher accuracy of 0.5% FS. The selection of the measurement range and output signals is made using a slide switch and jumper. The measured pressure is additionally displayed on a 4-digit integrated LCD display in freely selectable units.

The installation can be surface-mounted or mounted in the control cabinet on a DIN rail; the necessary accessories are available for all models. After installation, a simple zero point correction can be performed using a push button.

Operation with DC and AC voltages between 13 and 30 V, as well as universal adjustment options, enable the use of these models in retrofit applications within existing installations.

Thanks to their high flexibility, this series of models is used in the HVAC sector, building technology, laboratory and cleanroom monitoring, as well as in various other applications where reliable measurement of very small pressures is essential.
