Flexible and mobile: Cleanroom laser cabin ensures technical cleanliness during optics or laser production
Optics and laser technology, manufacturing
Products manufactured on optical tables are often extremely particle-sensitive. Even the smallest dust particles are enough to negatively affect the quality of the process or product. For a clean working environment without contamination risk, laser cabins can be used. bc-technology offers these in the company's typical modular design, allowing them to be easily adapted to the specific requirements of the customer. If needed, mobile or height-adjustable versions are also available, which can be flexibly installed exactly where needed. The compact laser cabins are qualified according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1 and achieve at least class 5 cleanroom standards through the principle of turbulence-free displacement airflow over the optical table. In the environment of the optical table, at least ISO class 6/7 is achieved, minimizing the risk of contamination from personnel. Thanks to their special design, they also allow for easy cleaning.
Depending on the requirement, bc-technology offers a special laser safety partition system, laser safety curtains, or PVC cleanroom curtains as side enclosures. The appropriate protective enclosure is determined for each application in close consultation with the customer and in accordance with the applicable standards DIN EN 12254 and DIN EN 60825. "To achieve the cleanliness class required by DIN EN ISO 14644-1, we have integrated infinitely adjustable EC fans that generate turbulence-free displacement airflow," explains Markus Huber, Sales Manager at bc-technology GmbH. "At the same time, the energy-optimized EC fans ensure high energy efficiency." Additionally, the cleanroom experts integrated a display that shows all relevant operating parameters and alarms in plain text. The extensive control and monitoring functions thus ensure a safe and clean working environment.
The dimensions of the laser cabins can be chosen from standard variants or customized to meet specific requirements. "The user can decide whether the cabin should be permanently installed or designed as a mobile unit. Alternatively, a ceiling suspension of the cabin is also possible," explains Huber. The uprights are made of steel and coated with epoxy resin in RAL 9010 for protection. Depending on the requirement, the surrounding protective enclosure is selected to delineate the work area.
The custom manufacturing is facilitated by bc-technology's typical modular design: not only can the individual cabins be connected to form a large cleanroom zone — this also allows for numerous additional options such as the integration of power and data outlets, air coolers, or monitoring systems. "Retrofitting with specific requirements for cleanroom classes, altered product or normative specifications, is also possible at any time in consultation and based on a risk assessment," reports the sales manager. Thanks to the flexible adaptation options, both small and large protective zones can be realized.
