FiT2clean Award will be awarded for the first time in 2022 – application phase has begun

As a cross-sectional technology, industrial cleaning technology ensures the quality of subsequent processes as well as the product quality. The Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning (FiT) e.V. acknowledges this enormous importance through the annual awarding of the FiT2clean Prize. Outstanding achievements and solutions to a current challenge in industrial component cleaning are recognized. The application phase for the inaugural awarding of the prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, has begun. The award ceremony will take place on October 13, 2022, at parts2clean.

Whether for subsequent processes or the flawless function of an end product – no quality can be produced without cleanliness. Therefore, component cleaning plays a vital role in the value chain. New developments and further innovations from various fields of industrial cleaning technology make an important contribution to achieving the necessary cleanliness in an economical, sustainable, and optimally tailored manner for each manufacturing environment. "With the FiT2clean award, the Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning aims to promote innovations in component cleaning as well as to recognize outstanding achievements and solutions," explains Dr. Michael Flämmich, Chairman of the Board of FiT. The award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros and a one-year free membership in the association, will be awarded for the first time in 2022 and annually thereafter.

Applications for 2022 in three categories

The application deadline for this year's FiT2clean Prize has recently begun. The call is open to all providers and users of industrial cleaning technology. For 2022, solutions, currently implemented product ideas, and further developments can be submitted in the following areas:

– Innovation: Developments for more efficient implementation of current requirements in industrial component cleaning.
– Ecology: Solutions for industrial part cleaning or for changing a product, process, or application case, resulting in resource-optimized process management or resource savings.
– QSRein 4.0: System solutions for knowledge-based process management in industrial component cleaning.

Award ceremony at parts2clean 2022

The submitted applications will be evaluated by an independent expert jury – consisting of individuals from science, research, industry, and media – according to defined criteria. Participation is not possible for companies and organizations that send jury members. The first FiT2clean Award will be presented on October 13, 2022, during parts2clean. The leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning will take place from October 11 to 13, 2022, at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds.
