FiT2clean Award enters its second round

The Fit2clean Award initiated by the Industry Association for Industrial Part Cleaning in 2022 rewards outstanding achievements and new solutions to current challenges in industrial component cleaning. A few days ago, the application phase for this year's award, endowed with 10,000 euros, began and runs until July 31. The award ceremony will once again take place during parts2clean on September 28, 2023.

Industrial component cleaning is now a key manufacturing step in every industry to ensure the quality of subsequent processes or the flawless final application of products. Not infrequently, adapted cleaning processes are also a technical prerequisite for implementing innovative product ideas. Developments and further innovations in various fields of industrial cleaning technology therefore not only make an important contribution to value creation but are also repeatedly enablers of progress across different industries. "The impressive innovation potential in component cleaning was demonstrated by the awarding of the first FiT2clean Award in 2022," reports Dr. Michael Flämmich, Chairman of the Industry Association for Industrial Part Cleaning (FiT). "We are already looking forward to the applications for this year's FiT2clean Award." The prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros and a one-year free membership in the industry association, will be awarded for the second time in 2023. It recognizes outstanding achievements and innovative solutions in industrial component cleaning annually.

Applications in three categories

The call for submissions is open nationally and internationally to providers and users of industrial cleaning technology. For the 2023 award, innovative solutions, currently implemented product ideas, and further developments from the following areas can be submitted:

– Innovation: New product or product variation for more efficient implementation of current requirements in industrial component cleaning.
– Ecology: Solutions for industrial part cleaning or for modifying a product, process, or application case that result in resource-optimized process management or resource savings.
– QSRein 4.0: Innovative system solution for knowledge-based process management in industrial part cleaning.
The submission deadline began a few days ago and ends on July 31, 2023.

Award ceremony during parts2clean

To determine the winner, an independent expert jury – seven individuals from science, research, industry, and media – will evaluate the submitted applications based on defined criteria. Companies and organizations that send jury members are not eligible to participate. The FiT2clean Award will be presented on September 28, 2023, during parts2clean at the FiT activity area, with the three finalists presenting their submitted solutions beforehand. The leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning will take place from September 26 to 28, 2023, at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds.
