The Fischer Elektro- und Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH from Sindelfingen and Metzingen won the special prize at the third g+h Innovation Award 2012. The company has been recognized for its outstanding service offerings and innovative strength across all product areas.
"We are delighted with this award and see it as recognition of our daily efforts to provide customers with the best and newest in electrical and lighting technology," emphasizes Friedrich Fischer. On November 30, 2012, during a festive event in the Kaisersaal of the historic Hotel Kaiserworth in Goslar, the g+h Innovation Award was presented for the third time. Friedrich Fischer received the special prize for his outstanding service offerings and thus belongs to the top group of German electrical specialists.

Promoting and rewarding innovations

80 electrical specialists in Germany and Austria applied for the g+h Innovation Award 2012. The award has been presented biennially since 2008 by the trade magazine g+h Building Technology and Craft of the Henrich Publications publishing house. It aims to promote innovations in craftsmanship. Criteria for the award include innovative and professional concepts in business organization, marketing, product innovation, and service. The winners were determined across five evaluation levels.

This time, the special prize went to Fischer Elektro- und Beleuchtungstechnik GmbH for its innovative strength across all products. Particularly convincing was the worldwide unique certification of cleanroom lights, which confirms their suitability for use in cleanrooms in the pharmaceutical, food, and chip industries. The jury was impressed. Fischer has made genuine pioneering efforts in this area.

Cleanroom certification unique worldwide

Fischer is the first manufacturer worldwide to use special antibacterial sealing and adhesive compounds, outgassing-free and chemically resistant powder coatings, as well as silicone-free materials. All products and materials received top marks in testing by the Fraunhofer Institute. Ultimately, the conformity of the lighting systems with the EHEDG and GMP standards was confirmed. With the cleanroom certificates from the globally renowned Fraunhofer Institute, Fischer can offer its customers maximum safety regarding the suitability of its lights for cleanroom environments.

Economics Minister Rösler as patron

Just a few days later, the craft business from Sindelfingen was also nominated for "ELMAR – the brand award of the electrical industry." On December 4th, the initiative "Electromark. Strong Partners." — a coalition of 17 well-known German brands of electrical installation materials — awarded the best craft businesses in Frankfurt. Fischer was among the twelve nominated companies. Nominated and awarded are craft businesses that have distinguished themselves through particularly brand-conscious actions. The patronage was held by Federal Minister of Economics Philipp Rösler.
