First independent trade fair for cleanroom technology

A new, groundbreaking date for the industry: On October 24 and 25, 2012, the first Cleanzone will take place in Frankfurt am Main. The specialized congress trade fair for cleanroom technology offers a comprehensive overview of all process stages from planning through construction to the operation of controlled, contamination-free workplaces.

"Cleanroom technology" is increasingly gaining importance in international research and development as well as in many industrial applications. With Cleanzone, we are responding to the growing demand and providing this future-oriented technology with an initial independent platform, "says Klaus Reinke, member of the management of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. The goal is to create an ideal environment for the cleanroom industry to initiate collaborations, deepen expertise, and showcase the latest technological developments. For this purpose, Cleanzone brings together relevant economic and cross-sector areas in Frankfurt over two days: The trade exhibition features manufacturers of cleanroom systems, technology, and components, as well as the necessary consumables. Universities and colleges that influence the future development of cleanroom technology with their research also present themselves. The accompanying technical congress provides scientifically based and manufacturer-independent knowledge from international experts. Visitors to Cleanzone are decision-makers from the fields of chemistry, medicine, pharmaceuticals, food, nano-, optics-, and laser technology, microelectronics, automotive, aerospace, and space technology.

Future of Cleanroom

Until now, the specialized topic of cleanroom technology mainly took place in the context of related industry events. However, the number of application areas for this technology is now noticeably increasing. Cleanrooms and controlled environments are increasingly used in the production of high-tech, food, life sciences, and many other specialized industries. Additionally, international requirements for product quality and hygiene are rising — and with them, the demands on controlled environmental conditions. Since innovations now enable the installation of miniaturized cleanrooms and complex cleanroom systems, even more small and medium-sized companies are successfully implementing these forward-looking technologies.

Encouraged by this positive development, the desire for an independent platform has now been expressed to Messe Frankfurt. Starting in October 2012, Cleanzone will therefore be supported by renowned industry experts: the Cleanroom Academy GmbH as a marketing and content partner for consulting and designing the congress program, the VDI Society Building and Building Services Engineering, the International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies (ICCCS), and the German Cleanroom Institute e.V. (DRRI). Media partners include trade publications such as Cleanroom Technology, Contamination Control Report, and Cleanroom Online.
