Fine filtration through agglomeration
The filtration or separation of fine contaminants – particularly particles 1 μm to 15 μm – rarely achieves sufficient results with conventional filter technology or centrifuges, as the physical size of these substances, their low weight (especially aluminum, etc.), and limited volume flows do not allow it.
AQON offers an efficient and easily retrofittable solution for reducing residual dirt load with the High Tension System - HTS. In combination with existing filtration systems, the purity can be increased by several NAS or ISO 4406 classes without the need to enlarge or modify the actual filter system.
HTS changes the adhesion and binding behavior of particles through dipole induction. Particles agglomerate – forming larger composite structures – which allows for easy mechanical separation.
Illustration of agglomeration: see Fig. 1
An example from practice – at a well-known automotive supplier – documents the improvement in filtration with a 40 μm monofilament fabric (see Fig. 2).
HTS is extremely easy to handle and has low follow-up costs
- Bypass or full-flow integration into existing filtration system
- For a flow rate of 10 m³/h, only about 0.050 kWh is required
- The system has no mechanical wear parts
HTS is suitable for
- Water-based media such as cutting fluid, washing, degreasing, grinding, blasting, and electroplating processes
- Contaminants from metals, minerals like graphite, ceramics, glass, etc., and plastics
