Festive opening ceremony of the new company building underscores motan's commitment in China and Asia

motan-colortronic Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the motan Group, has moved into its modern larger company building in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, China, located about 50 kilometers northwest of downtown Shanghai. The new headquarters will serve as a sales and production center for Southeast Asia. This way, the supply to customers in China and Asia is simplified and optimized.

"With the move to the larger building with 4,600 sqm, we can now produce all product lines in China," explains Bing Hian Co, Managing Director of motan-colortronic Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd., as well as overall responsible for Asia. "These products are primarily intended for our Chinese and Asian customers but also for customers who want to expand their activities from a production site in China," he emphasizes. "The Chinese and Southeast Asian markets offer us fantastic opportunities. We want to further increase market shares in China and Asia and, through the expansion of the motan brand's know-how, give new impulses," adds B.H. Co.

For the grand opening ceremony, customers, neighboring companies, representatives of VDMA, and representatives of the city of Taicang were invited. The Deputy Director of the Hightech Zone in Taicang, Feng Yuliang, was pleased to have gained motan-colortronic as a technologically leading company for the Hightech Zone in Taicang.

After the traditional "Eye Bowl Ceremony," the invited guests were able to tour the new premises. The focus was on the modern sales and production building as well as the new TechCenter. The latter will be used for plant trials and as a training center for customers, but especially for the company's own employees. Suresh Kannan, Managing Director of motan-colortronic Pte. Ltd., Singapore, and head of application applications for Asia, bears overall responsibility for this.

With the move to the larger building, the motan Group further expands its presence in China. motan has been present in China since 1999 with a sales branch in Beijing. In 2002, another location was established in Shanghai, and since 2006, motan has been producing in Taicang. A subsidiary was founded in Singapore as early as 1993. In 2011, another sales company was established in Thailand.
