Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building, and Nuclear Safety assumes patronage of WTT-Expo

For the WTT-Expo 2014 (April 8-10 at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre), Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter, MdB, has taken on the patronage and will open the WTT-Expo. As part of the Cold Climate Specialist Day, organized by the German Cold Climate Specialist Companies Association (VDKF) at the WTT-Expo on April 10, 2014, Wolfgang Müller from the Department of Energy Efficiency at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety will also present the revised guideline with the significantly simplified funding procedures for efficiency measures on cooling and air conditioning systems introduced in January 2014. Companies can apply for funding for compression cooling systems with an electrical power consumption of five to 150 kilowatts, compression air conditioning systems with ten to 150 kilowatts, and absorption systems with five to 500 kilowatts of cooling capacity (provided the heat comes from combined heat and power (CHP) systems or waste heat is utilized). Other topics of the Cold Climate Specialist Day include adsorption cooling, ice storage, energy-efficient cooling technology in industry, efficient performance control for reciprocating compressors, applications of high-temperature heat pumps in industry, and energy efficiency systems through the selection of suitable heat exchanger technologies.

The 5th WTT-Expo – Trade Fair for Industrial Heat and Cold Technology – will take place from April 8 to 10, 2014, offering an optimal information platform for energy-efficient system optimization of plants in process engineering applications, focusing on core components such as heat exchangers and heat transfer technology systems, as well as industrial heat recovery. For the first time, it will be held together with the 5th PaintExpo – the international leading trade fair for industrial coating technology – and HallTec – Trade Fair for Technical Building Equipment in Industry and Commercial Construction – at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre.
