FDA-compliant cable entry plates from icotek

The KEL-DPZ-HD is specially designed for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. In consideration of Hygienic Design guidelines, care has been taken to make the surface very smooth so that no dirt niches form on the visible side. The outer contour radius of 6 mm – instead of the required 3 mm – exceeds EHEDG specifications. The KEL-DPZ-HD uses a FDA-compliant material according to food approval 1935/2004/EC and (EU) 10/2011. With the signal color blue, clear visual color recognition is provided.

Lines and hoses with a diameter range of 3.2 mm to 22.2 mm are inserted and sealed according to IP65/66/67/68. KEL-DPZ-HD can accommodate up to 35 cables depending on the version. The clamping range offers flexibility of up to 7 mm and provides variation options even during installation. The plates are initially available with a metric thread in sizes M32, M40, M50, and M63. A significant advantage over conventional cable glands is the much higher packing density. The fixation of the cable entry plate is extremely simple using a locknut.

To complement its Hygienic Design System, icotek has developed detectable cable ties KB-HDD and cable tie holders KBH-HDD. For unused and already opened membranes of the cable entry plates, icotek offers plugs of the type ST-B-HD, in detectable version of the type ST-B-HDD.
