Fast Forward! Time for the "Next Generation" from EFAFLEX

A solution for every requirement in the highest quality: All of this is now offered by EFAFLEX with the "Next Generation" high-speed doors. The uniform concept offers many advantages.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary, EFAFLEX presents an evolution of its spiral door: the "High-Speed Doors Next Generation." Behind it lies a modular system with four door types, all based on the same door concept. The possibilities for customers are diverse.

Doors are configurable in a modular system

Each of the four different door types is available in three variants – a total of twelve door options. These are available with pre-configured equipment packages. Additionally, special requests, such as an inclined end plate, can be quickly and directly implemented at any time. The door control can also be integrated space-saving into the curtain box.

Each of the four door types has a safety feature in the premium version, including EFA-TLG® line light grid, manual emergency opening lever, and a spring break detection in both frames. Furthermore, the symmetrical door construction features pivotable frame covers, making maintenance and repairs – also in combination with EFA-SmartAssist® – significantly easier. EFA-SmartAssist® is a digital support tool with remote diagnosis via video connection, providing direct and competent support from EFAFLEX staff.

Next Generation high-speed doors enhance sustainability

At the same time, the standardization of the door construction and the use of identical parts simplify the manufacturing of all product components while maintaining EFAFLEX's renowned quality. Each door type is designed for up to 400,000 cycles per year, ensuring an extremely sustainable use. But the "Next Generation" high-speed doors are also sustainable in other ways. The modular design of the "Next Generation" doors conserves resources, significantly reducing the CO2 footprint during production.

During use in your buildings, energy consumption is also reduced; the amount of savings varies depending on the door configuration. You will receive all necessary information about the door's sustainability through EFAFLEX's sustainability product passport. This passport can be helpful for certifying your building.

An overview of the "Next Generation" door types

The EFA-SST® Therm minimizes energy losses through thermally separated EFA-THERM® insulating lamellas. As a result, the door achieves an impressive U-value of 1.4 W/m²K, making it our star in terms of sustainability. It is particularly suitable for hall and building entrances and, thanks to the insulated lamellas, also suitable as a noise protection application.

The EFA-SST® Alux, with double-walled aluminum lamellas, is very robust in its construction and can handle up to 400,000 cycles per year. Additionally, the door system is certified according to DIN EN 12424 with wind class 5, meaning it can remain operational even under high wind loads, and optionally offers the possibility to meet the certified resistance class 2 (WK2/RC2) with the appropriate configuration. This applies to all doors except the EFA-STR® Flex.

The high-speed turbo motor EFA-STT® Clear impresses with a rapid opening speed of 3.2 m/s. Combined with the EFA-CLEAR® transparent lamellas, which ensure an unobstructed view, this door offers a high level of safety and speed for operations involving many participants. And incidentally, the EFA-STT® Clear is also visually striking, allowing plenty of daylight into your building thanks to its transparency.

The high-speed turbo roll-up door EFA-STR® Flex enables efficient and fast logistics with an opening speed of up to 4.0 m/s. The reason for this enormous speed is the door leaf, made of PVC-coated polyester fabric reinforced with aluminum profiles, combined with EFAFLEX spiral technology. The interplay of flexible curtain and fixed keder profiles is a real innovation in the door market. The major advantage is that individual segments of the door leaf can be replaced separately.

Equipment packages make doors customizable

The door offerings are rounded out by four optional equipment packages for specific requirements. For example, there is the cold package, suitable for operating temperatures from -1 to -25 degrees Celsius. There is also a process package used in logistics and manufacturing areas.

Furthermore, packages "Security 1" with mechanical locking and "Security 2" with automatic locking are available. Both packages can be integrated into an existing alarm system.

"Next Generation" in proven EFAFLEX quality

The company EFAFLEX, based in Bruckberg near Munich, has been in existence for half a century. It employs over 1,400 staff and has representatives on all continents, having developed into a global leader in the field of high-speed industrial doors.
An important part of this development was the invention of the door spiral. This ensures that the door leaf can still be wound quietly, quickly, and almost wear-free to this day.

With this invention as a basis, numerous door variants have been developed over the past decades to meet every need. The "Next Generation" high-speed doors deliver proven EFAFLEX quality once again. Thanks to their customizability, they can meet almost any requirement. Never before has it been easier to obtain robust, durable, and sustainable doors that also make your building "Fast Forward" ready for the future.
