The success of the company KEK is based on the fascination with stainless steel. It is this very fascination that drives the development of optimal products and innovative solutions. KEK was founded in 1991 as Königsbrücker Edelstahl- und Küchentechnik GmbH and today employs 120 staff members. As a subsidiary of the globally active TEKA Group, it leverages the numerous opportunities of the group.

With approximately 40% of the company's sales, the area of laboratory and cleanroom furniture represents a core part of KEK's work. These high-quality furniture for cleanrooms in the semiconductor industry, optical, and chemical industries are manufactured in the CLEAN. TEC division. The design variants are planned and produced according to the requirements for cleanrooms, sterile rooms, and laboratories, in functional and customer-oriented construction.

The furniture are produced not only in stainless steel, depending on the profile of requirements, but also from melamine-coated chipboard. In the stainless steel furniture sector, various hygiene requirements are met—from bent sheet metal to spherical corners.

Other business areas of KEK include catering technology, kitchen equipment for luxury yachts, medical technology, furniture for operational facilities, as well as cabinet and pantry kitchens.

With an current share of 10%, exports have steadily increased in recent years and currently show an upward trend.

For several years, KEK has been working on improving ergonomics in cleanrooms. Good ergonomic conditions are a prerequisite for peak performance and top quality. Highly sensitive activities require the utmost attention while maintaining consistent work quality. The goal of cleanroom design should be to increase employee motivation through improved working conditions and higher performance. To meet these requirements, KEK has also improved its products from this perspective. For the Cleanzone trade fair, a combined standing/sitting workstation was developed. Features such as stepless electric height adjustment, a work surface adapted to the reach area, and armrests made of Polystone for a better temperature sensation on the skin exemplify the constructive implementation of improved ergonomics.
