Exyte GmbH changes management structure in line with accelerated growth course "Pathway to Ten"
– Effective May 1, 2022, Exyte expands its management team; responsibility for business segments is transferred to management level
– Strong business growth with a focus on the three strategic pillars continues
– The Supervisory Board has agreed with Roberto Penno that he will leave Exyte
Exyte GmbH (Exyte), a global leader in the planning, development, and delivery of high-tech facilities, is restructuring its management team.
To align Exyte's management structure with the strategic growth plan "Pathway to Ten" (Exyte's initiative to reach an annual turnover of 10 billion euros by 2027), the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board of Exyte have decided to strengthen the three strategic units of Exyte: Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF), Biopharma and Life Science (BLS), and Data Centers (DTC). The management team of Exyte will be expanded by three managing directors responsible for these respective segments. As a result, the role of Chief Operating Officer will be eliminated. The future management team of Exyte will consist of five members.
Dr. Wolfgang Büchele, CEO of Exyte, will additionally assume responsibility for the segments Advanced Technology Facilities (ATF) and Biopharma and Life Science (BLS) at the management level. He will also be responsible for the Asia region (Regional Areas North East Asia (NEA) and South East Asia (SEA)). Furthermore, the Business Area Technology and Services (T&S), the fourth strategic unit of Exyte, will be under his management.
Peter Schönhofer, CFO of Exyte, will additionally take on responsibility for the Data Centers (DTC) segment at the management level. He will also be responsible for the regions of Europe (Regional Areas Continental Europe (COE) and Northern Europe / Israel (NEI)) and the USA (Regional Area USA).
As a result of this decision to establish a new expanded management structure, other members of the management team will be appointed over the course of 2022 and 2023 to assume the additional responsibilities of Dr. Wolfgang Büchele and Peter Schönhofer.
"With our new management structure, we lay the foundation for accelerated future growth in line with our successful focus on our four strategic units, which are driven by very strong and sustainable secular trends," says Georg Stumpf, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Exyte GmbH.
The Supervisory Board and Roberto Penno have agreed that he will be released from his duties as Chief Operating Officer of Exyte to pursue other activities outside the company. "I would like to thank Roberto Penno for his excellent contribution to the development of Exyte over the past five years," says Georg Stumpf. "We wish Roberto Penno all the best for his future endeavors."
