Freudenberg Filtration Technologies hosts webinars on the ISO 16890 testing standard, considering specific applications / Introduction of Viledon® e.FFECT
Since the beginning of the year, the testing standard ISO 16890 has replaced the previous standard EN 779; by mid-2018 at the latest, it will become mandatory worldwide. Freudenberg Filtration Technologies is sharing its expertise on the new method for evaluating and classifying fine and coarse dust filters through webinars. Customers and interested parties can choose from six approximately one-hour training sessions. The free webinars are targeted—divided by industry—at users in the fields of surface technology, gas turbines and compressors (turbomachinery), as well as beverages and food products.
Expert Dr. Thomas Caesar, Director of Global Filter Engineering at Freudenberg Filtration Technologies, begins by presenting the innovations, impacts, and advantages of the ISO 16890 standard. The standard proves to be more practical and informative than its predecessor, as it considers a broad range of particle sizes—because dust is not just dust. In the second part of the webinar, the responsible specialists for surface technology, food & beverages, and gas turbines & compressors discuss application-specific details. Based on this, plant operators can select their filtration systems according to their own process requirements and the environmental conditions or dust concentrations at their location.
In the final part of the webinar, the new calculation tool Viledon® e.FFECT, developed by Freudenberg Filtration Technologies for supply air filtration, is introduced. With e.FFECT, analyzing and designing single- and multi-stage filter systems becomes easy. The program guides customers toward the optimal filtration solution: by determining the individually tailored filter arrangement under real conditions, ensuring maximum operational safety, energy, and cost efficiency.
Six webinar dates are available. They are initially scheduled for November 16 and 21, 2017, in the surface technology sector. For interested parties from the food and beverage industry, two sessions will take place on December 5, 2017. Operators of gas turbines will be specifically informed on December 13 and 14, 2017. All webinars will be conducted in English.
Registering online is simple, and participation is free of charge.
