Experienced in what lies behind innovations

At the Swiss Medtech Expo from September 19 to 20, 2017, over 160 exhibitors will showcase their latest Medtech solutions and demonstrate the innovation potential for medical technology across various themed zones. Visitors will also receive inspiration for their own projects through expert lectures at the Innovation Symposium.

A total of 36 expert lectures will be offered to visitors at the Swiss Medtech Expo from September 19 to 20, 2017. Leading representatives from science, technology, and manufacturing will share their firsthand insights and provide the professional audience with plenty of inspiration for their own projects. The presentations and product demonstrations at the Innovation Symposium focus on the six key topics of the trade fair: Additive Manufacturing, Smart Design & Engineering, Innovative Materials, Industry 4.0, Plastics in Medical Technology, and Innovative Surfaces.

"Attending a short lecture at the Innovation Symposium is a great opportunity for visitors to learn more about the development and challenges of a Medtech innovation," explains trade fair director Fabrizio Raffa. Many exhibitors will present their clever solutions, which they also showcase at the Swiss Medtech Expo, in detail to the audience at the Innovation Symposium. For example, Sonja Rasch, Account Manager at Materialise GmbH, will talk about the development of the world's first custom-made glasses produced with 3D printing. And Christoph Jordi, Senior Usability Manager at Ypsomed AG, will demonstrate the benefits of eye-tracking in product development.
