At this year's Fachpack in Nuremberg, Schütz will present innovative product novelties for the packaging industry from September 27th to 29th. The focus of booth 6-237 in Hall 6 is on resource conservation, efficiency, and safety. Under the motto "Expect more," interested visitors will learn everything about the ecological product series Green Layer as well as the advantages of the Ecobulk MX 560 for smaller fill volumes. Additionally, Schütz will showcase the Ecobulk SX-D, the first combination IBC with FM Global approval.

Safely packaging hazardous goods such as flammable or easily ignitable liquids: Among other things, Schütz has developed the new Ecobulk SX-D for this complex task. The quality seal of FM Global has already emphasized the performance capability of the IBC as a safe packaging for sensitive goods. The Ecobulk SX-D meets the highest safety standards, among other features, due to its special construction. For example, it features a closed, fireproof shell as an extension of the classic cage. This shell is welded with the integrated sump, creating a sealed container around the inner bladder of the container. The double-walled construction serves as an effective additional spill protection, preventing the escape of sensitive liquids into the environment even in extreme situations, such as in the event of a fire, with extremely high temperatures.

Flexible solution for handling smaller fill volumes

As another highlight, Schütz will present the Ecobulk MX 560, a true all-rounder for smaller fill volumes. The IBC has a nominal volume of 560 liters and was developed based on the globally successful range with dimensions of 1,200 x 1,000 millimeters. The container impresses with its particularly flat shape, which allows for optimal utilization of storage and transport space. The Ecobulk MX 560 also demonstrates its strengths with mixed loads, as the IBC is fully compatible with all other MX-IBC variants from Schütz due to its pallet size. Thanks to its low weight, it is easy to handle in daily use. If needed, the Ecobulk MX 560 can also be equipped with an EVOH permeation barrier, which protects the fill product from changes and the environment from environmental impacts.

Resource conservation with the Green Layer series

Furthermore, Schütz introduces the IBCs and drums from the Green Layer product series. This supports the packaging specialist in helping its customers minimize their carbon footprint and thus make an important contribution to achieving global and their own climate goals. To this end, Schütz uses state-of-the-art 3- or 6-layer extrusion blow molding systems to produce high-quality, natural-colored recycled material with a 30% share in the production of the IBC inner containers and drum bodies. The recycled material flows completely into the middle layer, ensuring that the fill product and the packaging environment come into contact only with new material.
