Expansion of the gripper range

New sizes close the gap in the GPP5000AL and GPD5000AL series

The Zimmer Group, a globally active manufacturer of forward-looking automation technology, is expanding its portfolio within the proven gripper series GPP5000AL and GPD5000AL with two new additions. The new size GPP5025AL for the 2-jaw parallel grippers, as well as the new three-jaw centric gripper GPD5016AL, specifically fill existing gaps in size spectrum and offer users additional flexibility in designing pneumatic gripping solutions.

The series stand for compact, economical grippers with high-quality aluminum profile guide (Aluminum Linear Guide). Compared to conventional T-slot grippers, this precise guide variant provides significantly better performance and is technically on par with many other common guiding principles on the market. It enables stable, maintenance-free movement sequences and is therefore perfect for a wide range of industrial handling and automation tasks.

Also new are the Long-Stroke variants: customers choosing the L-versions with extended stroke of the GPP5000AL series benefit from a special advantage: these Long-Stroke versions allow up to 60% more stroke at the same size, opening up new application possibilities, especially for large gripping ranges or varying workpiece dimensions. At the same time, using a smaller size reduces weight, installation space, and thus investment costs – a clear advantage for efficient and dynamic automation concepts.

Additional product highlights:

– Aluminum profile guide – precise, wear-resistant, and economical, with significantly improved performance compared to standard T-slot guides.
– L-variants with extended stroke – up to 60% more stroke at the same size for maximum flexibility and optimized system concepts
– Wide variety of variants and accessories – perfectly tailored to different stroke, force, and construction situations
– Maintenance-free design – wear-resistant aluminum-steel profile guide reduces follow-up costs and downtime.
– Cleanroom compatible – certified according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1 for cleanroom class 4, ideal for clean production environments.

With the new size GPP5025AL, the Zimmer Group specifically expands the series in the area of medium stroke and force requirements. It offers a balanced force-to-weight performance and seamlessly integrates into the existing modular system. Complementing this, the new GPD5016AL, as a three-jaw centric gripper, addresses applications requiring a centric, form-fitting workpiece hold, and consistently transfers the proven design principles of the 5000AL family to this gripping concept.

Thus, the development underscores the Zimmer Group's commitment to providing innovative, modular, and sustainable components for automation technology – with a focus on cost-effectiveness, performance, and user-friendliness.
