EVIDENT introduces two new confocal spinning disk microscopes
The IXplore IX85 microscopes SpinXL and SpinSR expand research possibilities with state-of-the-art technologies for visualizing rapid dynamic processes in cells.
Evident announces the introduction of two new confocal spinning-disk microscopes: IXplore IX85 SpinXL and IXplore IX85 SpinSR. IX85 SpinXL and IX85 SpinSR are based on the new automated inverted IXplore IX85 microscope system from Evident and complement the platform with a powerful new technology to expand capabilities in live-cell imaging.
IXplore IX85 SpinXL for comprehensive insights into dynamic cellular processes
Supported by CrestOptics X-Light Spinning-Disk technology, the IXplore IX85 SpinXL offers a field of view of 26.5 mm, making it the only microscope capable of quickly capturing dynamic processes within cells and examining large sample areas in the shortest possible time.
– The high field of view combined with a fast frame rate and dual-camera functions allows the capture of dynamic cellular processes in a single image at speeds of up to 498 fps in full-frame mode.
– Precise, gentle live-cell imaging protects samples and improves image consistency. A Real-Time Controller ensures accurate coordinated imaging even at high speeds, reducing the risk of sample damage.
– NIR wavelengths provide deeper tissue penetration, less autofluorescence and crosstalk, and gentler imaging of living tissue.
The IX85 SpinXL optimizes tasks throughout the laboratory through intelligent automation and simple workflows. It is suitable for numerous imaging applications and many users, characterized by a balanced combination of speed, precision, and flexibility. With its broad wavelength range, customized disk options, and expandable imaging modalities, the system can also be adapted long-term to changing research needs.
IXplore IX85 SpinSR for more impressive details in less time
Supported by Yokogawa CSU-W1 Spinning-Disk technology, the IXplore IX85 SpinSR super-resolution microscope enables the capture of dynamic processes in cells at a very small scale with impressive detail.
The system was developed with a focus on extended cell viability in time-lapse experiments and combines fast image acquisition, advanced algorithms, and an XY resolution of up to 120 nm to accelerate 3D super-resolution imaging. It features a Real-Time Controller for precise coordinated imaging and produces fast, gentle live-cell images at the nanometer scale. The IX85 SpinSR system simplifies the acquisition of high-resolution details for faster insights.
– The TruSightSR super-resolution algorithm improves image resolution to up to 120 nm with just one click. It automatically optimizes the image processing filter based on the signal-to-noise ratio for appropriate processing during live-cell imaging, even with weak fluorescence.
– TruSight SR preserves the intensity levels of the original image, enabling analysis and comparison of sample brightness in super-resolved images for quantitative analysis.
Both the IX85 SpinXL and the IX85 SpinSR microscopes can be combined with the world's first silicone gel pad lens (LUPLAPO25XS), which allows precise 3D volume reconstruction and deeper focus on samples.
“We are pleased to introduce two new confocal spinning-disk microscopes in our IXplore IX85 series. The new SpinXL and SpinSR microscopes are based on our proven IXplore IX85 platform and are supported by advanced spinning-disk technologies. They offer our customers faster imaging that is extremely precise and gentle for live cells,” said Motoki Inoue, Vice President, Product Management and Marketing, Life Science Research, Evident. “The new IX85 SpinXL microscope uniquely features a 26.5 mm field of view, enabling users to capture larger dynamic processes in cells in a single image with faster data acquisition. The TruSight SR algorithm in the IX85 SpinSR microscope delivers impressive high-resolution details at high speed – crucial for customers studying dynamic processes in cells at a very small scale.”
