Workplaces beyond the traditional office environment pose special requirements for back prevention. These vary greatly depending on the field of activity and must be equipped accordingly to meet individual ergonomic needs. In addition to height-adjustable desks and back-friendly chairs, the environment should also be designed so that processes run smoothly and efficiently, relieving the spine. In manufacturing industries, work is predominantly performed in a rigid body posture – either sitting or standing. Therefore, ergonomics experts recommend dynamic sitting even at industrial, laboratory, and production workplaces.

Already in 2012, Dauphin became the first office furniture manufacturer to receive the renowned quality seal "Tested & Recommended" from AGR e.V. for six industrial chairs. These chairs meet a variety of requirements such as stability and robustness of materials, functionality and durability, as well as user-friendliness. They also fulfill all ergonomic requirements for back-friendly work and thus support movement and workflow optimally. Recently, the range of Dauphin industrial chairs rated as "particularly back-friendly" was expanded with three new models – "Tec identity," "Tec 24/7 adjust," and "@just 24/7" – featuring Ergo neck support.

Tec identity – The color sets the direction

The new industrial chair Tec identity is lightweight and quickly assembled, making it versatile – suitable for workshops, production, and specific areas such as ESD, cleanrooms, or laboratories. The shortened form of the backrest in the shoulder area allows greater freedom of movement while providing sensible support for the upper body. The side-mounted handles ensure a secure grip on the backrest outside the padding area, preventing dirt accumulation even in rough conditions. The plastic shell on the back protects the chair from impacts at the table.

The seat and backrest cushions are breathable, microclimate-friendly, and can be equipped with suitable fabrics depending on the application: durable polyurethane (PU) for workshop and production areas, or artificial leather for use in laboratories or cleanrooms.

A special feature of Tec identity, and the reason for its name, is the possibility of marking it with colored elements on the backrest and footrest. Using six colors (blue, green, orange, gray, black, and yellow), the industrial chair can be clearly assigned to different activity areas or locations.

24-Hour Chairs – Seating solutions with endurance

The new swivel chairs easily meet the high demands for durability and continuous load. Depending on the application, the 24-hour chairs can be equipped with different materials and all feature the user-friendly Syncro-Evolution mechanism.

A special feature is the extremely durable fabric "Ultra," which withstands up to 500,000 abrasion cycles – the standard is around 200,000.
