How can increasing regulatory requirements, sustainability goals, and technological innovations in pharmaceutical water treatment be successfully integrated? Answers to this question will be provided by the Pharma Water Summit, which EnviroFALK PharmaWaterSystems will host on October 15, 2026, at the DECHEMA-Haus in Frankfurt am Main.

With this new event format, EnviroFALK is creating a forum for the first time where experts from the pharmaceutical industry, science, engineering, and the regulatory environment can examine current challenges and future questions in pharmaceutical water treatment from different perspectives. The goal is to initiate interdisciplinary discussions and generate new impulses on how regulatory requirements can be practically implemented. Another focus is on the potential of data-driven decisions for pharmaceutical water treatment and where their limits lie in assessing microbiological risks.

The topics at the center of attention are those that significantly shape the pharmaceutical industry today and in the future: GMP compliance, cold WFI, digitalization, online monitoring, biofilms, energy efficiency, water recycling, and water reuse. The speakers will discuss the impact of regulatory requirements on operational practice, examine systemic risks in pharmaceutical water systems, and evaluate the potential of modern technologies regarding safety, sustainability, and economic efficiency. The key question is always which solutions are sustainable, resilient, and practical in the long term under GMP conditions.
