Changed requirements for the quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability of components demand adapted manufacturing technologies and processes – including in component cleaning. As a leading knowledge platform in the German-speaking region, the "Industrial Component Cleaning" conference of FiT provides relevant know-how, informs about trends and new developments in cleaning technology. The event program with an integrated exhibition on June 25 and 26, 2026, at the Neckar Forum Esslingen also includes the presentation of the 5th FIT2clean Award.

Increasingly rapid transformation processes in industry pose challenges for manufacturing companies. For example, producing high-quality components and system parts, including for sensor and analysis systems, aerospace, semiconductors, optics, mobility, medical and pharmaceutical technology, security technology, defense, coating and finishing technology, as well as energy technology, requires optimized and new solutions even in component cleaning. The processes must ensure that defined, sometimes extremely strict cleanliness specifications are not only stable and cost-efficient but also carried out in an energy- and resource-saving manner.

The 34th "Industrial Component Cleaning" conference of the Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning (FiT) presents know-how, new process engineering solutions and products, innovative methods for process control, as well as best-practice applications. An integrated exhibition and the presentation of the "FiT2clean Award" innovation prize complement the program of this event, established as a leading knowledge platform for component cleaning. It will be held by fairXperts on June 25 and 26, 2026, at the Neckar Forum Esslingen.

Future-oriented cleaning processes – what matters

The focus of the versatile two-day program includes the areas of process chain for component cleaning, media quality – process water treatment, innovations, measurement, testing, and control, as well as practical examples. It offers numerous impulses and shows strategies for adapting and optimizing cleaning processes. Under the title "From Sand in the Gears to Contamination-Free," the importance of purity throughout the entire process chain is examined, along with general standards, guidelines, and practical requirements. A presentation will illustrate the conceptual and technological challenges in designing high-purity cleaning applications using a case study from medical technology, where the cleaning system is understood as a quality gate before the cleanroom. The factors to consider when coordinating forming processes, component cleaning, and corrosion protection in battery cell manufacturing are also discussed. The agenda also features the introduction of a world novelty for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly laser cleaning of mass-produced items such as screws, nuts, or clips. Under the motto "Innovation Butane Cleaning," participants will receive an update on the latest developments of a new cleaning process. Other topics include new high-performance filters for component cleaning and the efficiency advantages of treating used rinse water through vacuum distillation. Additionally, the conference will inform about ways to increase cleaning efficiency and recycling capability of process water during vibratory finishing through synergistic cleaning and flocculation systems, as well as cost and resource savings in component cleaning through sensor-controlled bath changes. New developments for bath monitoring, such as a solution for mobile measurement of ultrasonic power and cleanliness control regarding particulate and film cleanliness, will also be presented. The benefits resulting from the interplay of cleaning technology and new measurement solutions along the process chain are illustrated with practical examples. Just as the consistent recording, evaluation, and interpretation of process and cleanliness data can enhance cleaning performance.

Furthermore, the decisive influence of intelligent parts handling on cost efficiency is highlighted. The question of what advantages inline laser cleaning of aluminum die-cast electronic housings offers as an alternative to decapping is answered by a practical contribution.

Presentation of the FiT2clean Innovation Award

As part of the conference, the €10,000 FiT2clean Award will also be presented. The innovation prize will be awarded for the fifth time on June 25. Prior to that, the three finalists will present their submitted solutions to the conference participants.

Accompanying exhibition – networking at its best

An accompanying exhibition rounds off the demanding lecture program. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about new products and developments in industrial cleaning technology and to exchange experiences directly with experts.

The conference is aimed at specialists and managers, engineers, and technicians from development and design, technology, process engineering, work preparation, manufacturing, production planning, and quality management from various industries.
