They are also powerful under the harshest operating conditions and save time and money in the process: Electric cylinder actuators are increasingly replacing pneumatic and hydraulic systems in working machines. "Replacing hydraulic and pneumatic systems with electric electric cylinder actuators benefits from improved machine performance and, due to the better efficiency, can significantly reduce energy consumption," explains Jörg Schulden, Business Unit Manager for Linear Technology at Rodriguez GmbH. "Thanks to the simple size selection, quick installation, and reduced maintenance effort, the overall system costs can also be lowered."

The right solution for every application

The Electrak XD electric cylinder actuator is among the latest developments on the market and is particularly suitable for extreme operating and weather conditions, for example, in construction machinery for energy plant construction, and impresses with load capacities up to 25 kN and stroke lengths up to 1,200 mm. Rodriguez also offers many other models, such as the Electrak HD, PC, and T series, which differ depending on dynamic load, stroke length, and speed, as well as by their drive type, mounting configuration, and optional features. "We adapt the systems to the requirements of each application, meaning each order is customized, even in larger quantities. For example, individual intermediate sizes for stroke lengths or higher load capacities can be implemented," summarizes Jörg Schulden.
