Floor conveyors are widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Due to the diverse tasks they need to perform, special designs are often necessary. The German manufacturer EAP Lachnit specializes in this. Its stainless steel electric pallet trucks meet the high legal requirements for use in sensitive areas such as food production, cleanrooms, or explosion-proof zones. They are also characterized by high operational safety, low maintenance, and easy cleaning.

Powerful and agile

The construction of the electric pallet trucks with a wide-track chassis is very robust. A torsion-resistant load frame with fork tips is used to hold the transported goods. A rounded arch provides secure support for the barrels being transported. Safety features have also been considered: an overload protection and a gentle lowering valve are standard features. The pallet truck also offers high stability thanks to a central wheel drive with a bevel gear. It can easily overcome thresholds with these load carriers. Operation is via a safety steering tiller, which contains all control and operation elements. For emergency situations, the electric pallet truck is equipped with an emergency stop switch and a safety button with automatic reverse.

The load capacity is 3,000 kilograms, with a lifting height of up to 300 millimeters and a mast height of 1,600 millimeters. Thanks to a small turning radius, the pallet truck is very maneuverable. A travel speed of 4 km/h allows for quick progress.

The electric pallet trucks are also well protected against moisture. For example, the key switch is fitted with a rubber cover, and the control system, battery, and hydraulic unit are enclosed in a waterproof stainless steel housing that meets the IP66 protection class. This makes them suitable for operation in wet, refrigerated, and deep-freeze areas.

Easy to clean

Particularly in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food production sectors, strict hygiene regulations apply. Therefore, the floor conveyors used must be easy and thorough to clean. The material used, stainless steel with glass bead blasted surfaces, enables this.
