Electric pallet truck made of stainless steel

High legal requirements apply to the use of floor conveyors in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. The German manufacturer EAP Lachnit offers electric pallet trucks in stainless steel design for such areas. High operational safety, low maintenance, easy cleaning, and simple transport of Euro pallets make these trucks suitable for many applications. Operation in wet areas as well as in cool and deep-freeze environments, cleanrooms, or explosion-proof areas is also easily possible.

Safety has the highest priority in explosion-proof areas or cleanrooms, where strict legal regulations apply to equipment and transport vehicles. EAP Lachnit specializes in the development and manufacture of floor conveyors for explosion-proof and all sensitive production areas. To meet these high standards, the South German manufacturer uses stainless steel as the material, with a composition of 1.4301 / V2A / AISI 304 (optionally also 1.4571 / V4A / AISI 316). The electric pallet trucks of types 411K and 412K are used, among other industries, in the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries, as well as in cleanrooms or explosion-proof areas. The floor conveyors from the well-established manufacturer are considered extremely robust and powerful. They are suitable for short or long distances, in pure tugger operation, or as rider equipment. Thanks to their size and technical design, they are very well suited for transporting Euro pallets and big boxes. The electric pallet trucks comply with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and are marked with the CE symbol.

Solo or Ride-on Operation

For different requirements, EAP Lachnit offers two models: The electric pallet truck 411 K is suitable for simple but quick loading and unloading of goods. And when it comes to transporting heavy loads over longer distances, the powerful electric pallet truck 412 K with a rider platform for rider operation is recommended. It features a fold-down rider platform and side safety arms. The construction of the electric pallet trucks is very robust. A torsion-resistant load frame with rounded fork ends ensures operator safety and gentle handling of the transported goods. Entry and exit rollers ensure that pallets can be easily picked up.

Safety has also been considered: An overload protection and a gentle lowering valve are standard features. The pallet truck also has high stability thanks to a central wheel drive with a bevel gear. Thresholds can also be easily overcome with these load carriers. Operation is via a safety steering tiller that contains all control and operation elements. For emergency situations, the electric pallet truck is equipped with an emergency stop switch and a safety button with automatic reverse. The performance data are convincing and enable the pallet trucks for countless applications: The load capacity is 2,000 kilograms, and the lifting height is up to 205 millimeters (optional up to 300 millimeters). Thanks to a small turning radius of 1,600 millimeters, the pallet truck is very maneuverable. A travel speed of 4 km/h allows for quick progress.

Easy Cleaning

In many areas, such as the food industry, there is often high humidity in production environments. The floor conveyors from EAP Lachnit are very well protected against such conditions. For example, the key switch is equipped with a rubber cover, and the control system, battery, and hydraulic unit are enclosed in a waterproof stainless steel housing that meets the protection class IP66.

In addition to such protective measures, the possibility of easy cleaning is also important. The stainless steel used, with glass bead blasted surfaces, facilitates this.
