EcoCvelox awarded as a pioneering and sustainable innovation

Ecoclean is one of the winners of this year's German Innovation Award, awarded by the German Design Council. The EcoCvelox, introduced to the market in 2019, was awarded the Gold Prize in the competition category "Excellence in Business to Business," in the "Machines & Engineering" sector. The judging criteria included degree of innovation, technical quality and functionality, user benefits, and economic efficiency.

With the EcoCvelox, Ecoclean has introduced a smart overall solution for manufacturing steps such as high-pressure water jet deburring, cleaning, and drying. Usually, two different machines from different manufacturers were required for these processes. This intelligent, modular, customizable, and demand-driven expandable plant concept convinced the jury, as evidenced by their reasoning: "Worldwide and across industries, the requirements for component cleanliness are increasing. Process-safe deburring, cleaning, and drying of workpieces are crucial to meet rising demands and ensure flawless component function or subsequent processes with tailored results. The EcoCvelox now combines these steps in a single system for the first time, also considering the need for flexibility and customization. This results not only in lower costs, for example through short cycle and changeover times and long tool life, but also in fewer operational disruptions."

In addition to its forward-looking concept, the system impressed with innovative features such as the highly dynamic transport system and an integrated CAD/CAM interface familiar to users of machine tools. It enables quick and easy offline programming of high-pressure deburring based on data from the part design.

The German Innovation Award is initiated and conducted by the German Design Council, which was established in 1953 by the German Bundestag and sponsored by the Federal Association of the German Industry. A highly qualified jury, including renowned physicists, patent consultants, computer scientists, product designers, and technology historians, decides on the winners of the award, which was awarded for the third time in 2020.
