Corner system

With two innovations, Gerflor, the specialist for flooring and wall protection in cleanrooms, presented at Lounge 2015 in Stuttgart: The company showcased, on the one hand, its improved corner system, and on the other hand, the new flooring Mipolam Biocontrol Performance.

The "Corner System," which is well-established in the market due to its excellent cleaning properties, has been supplemented with the "Clean Corner System" variant, allowing for smaller radii in the interior corner area. At the same time, the system offers improvements in cleaning and disinfection suitability to meet GMP requirements. Thanks to the flexible material, it is also possible to form angles that are not exactly 90 degrees. The new system is suitable for all Gerflor floors.

Gerflor has also further developed the flooring Mipolam Biocontrol, which now bears the additional designation "Performance" and is certified up to ISO 3 and GMP A. Only plasticizers from cereal residues are used in its production. Like its predecessor, the Mipolam Biocontrol Performance is excellently equipped for typical cleanroom stresses. In addition to its bacteriostatic properties, the flooring is resistant to more than 100 tested chemicals and heavy loads (up to 30kg/cm²). The Biocontrol Performance, available in directionless and monochrome designs, can be supplied as roll material or in tile format. Thanks to the factory UV-crosslinked surface coating, it is maintenance-free for life and can be renovated.
