Optimized design, weight capacity up to 22 kilograms, internal rotation stop that can be individually defined and tailored to specific requirements, and even more space for additional cables – CIM med GmbH has further developed its height-adjustable generation of medical carrier systems with the new S series in every aspect, consistently adapting to new customer needs.

The maximum load capacity of 22 kg takes into account a safety factor of 4 or 6 times. The Munich-based company has significantly reduced the weight of the support arm by selecting a special aluminum alloy while maintaining the same weight capacity. This advantage is especially beneficial when connecting to mobile systems such as anesthesia machines or equipment trolleys.

The current design allows for user-friendly installation with significant time and cost savings compared to previous models: optimized bearing points facilitate easier wiring. At the same time, the space inside the support arms designated for cables has been increased. This provides more room for additional cables with larger diameters. The cable management system, developed specifically by CIM med® and integrated into all support arms, protects the cables from damage, ensures reliable power supply, and offers significant hygiene and infection prevention benefits, as germs cannot settle on exposed cables.

From a safety perspective, the new S series also offers advantages: For example, limiting the swivel range improves tipping stability, particularly in anesthesia applications, and prevents collisions with glass cylinders. The models from CIM med® can therefore have the internal rotation stop customized according to customer wishes or structural requirements at no additional cost, allowing the rotation angle within the 310° movement radius to be optimally defined depending on the application and connection to existing systems.

The support arms can be easily and ergonomically adjusted in height within a range of +/-45°, starting from the horizontal. This guarantees an optimal positioning and secure fixation of the monitor without requiring significant effort at the desired height.

Of course, the new S series, as a medical device class 1, meets the high quality standards of the manufacturer. Like all CIM med® products, the support arms of this generation also feature a 6-fold safety standard with a maximum weight of 22 kilograms and come with a five-year warranty. They are compliant with the EN 60601-1, 3rd Edition regulations and CE marked.
