STÖBER DRIVE TECHNOLOGY GmbH & Co. KG is now implementing the "Safe Shutdown of Torque" (STO) safety function from a safety module by the automation company Pilz

The automation specialist Pilz has extensive expertise in safe drive technology and offers a comprehensive portfolio of drive solutions, ranging from control systems to servo amplifiers and servo motors. Pilz's solutions for integrated drive safety ensure high productivity while maintaining maximum safety for personnel. The STÖBER SD6 drive controller is designed for demanding requirements in positioning accuracy. Application areas include complex, fast motion sequences, such as in automation and robotics. "In search of a partner to implement the STO safety function in the new drive controller, we chose Pilz because we prioritize the highest quality in safety," explains Patrick Stöber, Managing Director of STÖBER DRIVE TECHNOLOGY.

The safety module from Pilz used in STÖBER is a fully electronic, wear-free STO solution that requires no maintenance cycles, significantly increasing the availability of the drive controller.
