Dr. Lukas Burkhardt new Executive Board Member at Gerresheimer AG

With effect from January 1, 2018, Dr. Lukas Burkhardt (38) has been appointed to the Executive Board of Gerresheimer AG. Lukas Burkhardt assumes responsibility within the Gerresheimer Executive Board for the Business Unit Primary Packaging Glass.

"With Lukas Burkhardt, we are strengthening the Gerresheimer AG Executive Board with an outstanding leadership personality. He will bring his diverse international experiences from various industries very well into the Business Unit Primary Packaging Glass," explained Dr. Axel Herberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gerresheimer AG.

Lukas Burkhardt studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich and also earned his doctorate there. He began his career at Audi AG in Ingolstadt. From 2007 to 2014, he held various management positions at the Rieter Automotive Group, later the Autoneum Group, including six years in China and India. Most recently, he was responsible for all plants in Asia as Head of Operations Asia. Since 2015, he has been Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Management of the internationally active Franke Group. There, he was responsible for production in over 30 plants worldwide, as well as logistics, procurement, process engineering, and parts of product engineering.

Thus, the Executive Board of Gerresheimer AG consists of Christian Fischer (Chairman), Rainer Beaujean (Chief Financial Officer), Andreas Schütte (Business Unit Plastics and Devices), and Lukas Burkhardt (Business Unit Primary Packaging Glass).
