Dominic Böhm, effective immediately, Head of Sales Thermoplas Germany at SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB GmbH.

SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB GmbH is strengthening its sales team. Dominic Böhm is taking on the position of Head of Sales Thermoplast Germany effective immediately. With over 20 years of experience in injection molding technology, plastics processing, and automation, he will practically support customers with demanding applications in injection molding production.

Practical experience along the entire process chain of injection molding production “Dominic Böhm brings comprehensive know-how in plastics processing as a trained process mechanic and technician for plastics and rubber technology. He will practically assist plastics processors and injection molders in Germany to optimize their production processes, produce high-quality end products, and plan, implement, and commission automated production cells,” says Dr. Georg Holzinger, Managing Executive Officer of SHIBAURA MACHINE and spokesperson for the management of SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB GmbH.

Dominic Böhm began his professional career in manufacturing technology in the automotive supplier industry. There, he was responsible for the design and project planning of complex injection molding systems. He accompanied the commissioning of tools and optimized production processes in projects across Europe, India, China, and Mexico. During this time, he gained practical experience with solutions from SHIBAURA MACHINE and LWB, including projects in India and Spain. Most recently, Böhm led application technology at a manufacturer of injection molding machines and supported technology-intensive customer projects.

“I have been working closely with production in the injection molding industry for 20 years. SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB stands for outstanding competence in injection molding technology and automation. My goal is to practically help plastics processors and injection molders in Germany achieve the highest efficiency, precision, and reliability,” says Dominic Böhm. He reports to Dr. Martin Kovacik, Executive Vice President of Thermoplast Sales and Service EMEA.

At the Kuteno in Bad Salzuflen from June 9 to 11, Stand 20-E43, SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB, the German subsidiary of the Japanese machine manufacturer SHIBAURA MACHINE, will inform plastics processors and injection molders about the advantages of its broad portfolio. This includes vertical and horizontal fully electric injection molding machines with clamping forces up to 3,000 tons, as well as automation solutions for processing thermoplastics, elastomers, and silicone.
