Differential pressure transmitters overloadable up to 800 times the measurement range

Differential pressure transmitters used in systems for leak or tightness testing are expected to have very small measurement ranges on the one hand but still withstand high overloads and system pressures on the other. Following this requirement, SETRA Systems has developed the ASL1 series of sensors. The membrane of this sensor is protected by mechanical stops, allowing overloads of up to 800 times the nominal range without affecting the specifications. For very small measurement ranges starting at 500 Pa or ±250 Pa, they are now designed for system pressures up to 17 bar.

The differential pressure transmitters of the ASL1 series offer excellent linearity of ±0.07% relative to the measurement range. Other noteworthy features include high temperature and long-term stability. Due to digital compensation, the maximum error within the compensated temperature range of -20 to +60 °C is only 0.5%. The long-term stability is specified at 0.15% FS/year.

Regarding environmental compatibility, this sensor is extremely flexible: the output signal can be either 0–10 V or 4–20 mA, operating at supply voltages between 5 and 30 VDC. A version with a connector or cable outlet is available, and five different connection ports ensure optimal integration into the process.
