Design and optimize cleaning processes effectively
Employee qualification for component cleaning in theory and practice:
As a quality- and cost-relevant manufacturing step, whose importance is continuously increasing, component cleaning significantly contributes to value creation. To meet not only the specific cleanliness requirements of each component but also the rising demands for resource efficiency, extensive know-how in the design and optimization of cleaning processes is required. The basic seminar "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning" imparts this knowledge in theory and practice. The bi-annual event for qualifying employees in the field of component cleaning will be held on March 6 and 7, 2024, by the Industry Association for Part Cleaning (FiT) at Heilbronn University.
Knowledge of cleaning technology has so far been rarely included in vocational training or studies. In everyday operations, this shortcoming often manifests in parts that are not adequately clean for subsequent manufacturing processes. The consequences are costly rework, unnecessarily high energy and resource consumption, and high costs that diminish value creation. Economical operation therefore depends crucially on ensuring that cleanliness requirements resulting from subsequent steps such as coating, bonding, welding, or assembly are reliably, efficiently, and sustainably met. The industry association for part cleaning e.V. (FiT) provides the necessary know-how for optimal design or adjustment of cleaning processes in the basic seminar "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning." The two-day qualification and further training event is organized and conducted annually by fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG. Participants rate their learning success with an overall score of 1.5 on average. To ensure successful knowledge transfer, the number of participants is limited to 40. The next seminar will take place on March 6 and 7, 2024, at Heilbronn University.
Process Design and Monitoring in Theory and Practice
The learning content is delivered by experienced experts from various fields of cleaning and application technology. The session begins with an inspiring lecture explaining the fundamental topics involved in the systematic planning and optimization of cleaning processes. Other topics on the first morning include the composition and mode of action of aqueous cleaning media and organic solvents, cleaning concepts and wet-chemical procedures, as well as the monitoring of cleaning media and component cleanliness. These presentations are deepened in the afternoon through topic-specific practical exercises. Small groups and well-equipped laboratory rooms at Heilbronn University ensure optimal knowledge transfer.
The presentations on the second morning cover basic know-how to best select cleaning chemistry, procedures, and equipment technology. Additionally, solutions for monitoring quality-influencing parameters during cleaning and for inspecting component cleanliness are introduced and explained. In the practical part in the afternoon, participants will experience live the strengths and limitations of various solutions for controlling particulate and film cleanliness, as well as media monitoring. They will be able to apply the different solutions themselves.
The target audience for the basic seminar includes specialists and managers from development, design, production planning, manufacturing, and quality assurance in the industries of metal processing and finishing, automotive industry, mechanical engineering, electronics manufacturing, precision mechanics, optics, medical technology, surface and coating technology, and other industrial sectors where component cleanliness is a quality criterion.
