Solutions for deburring and the production of precision surfaces are the focus for manufacturing companies. This is reflected in the strong participation in the 9th Deburring Technologies and Precision Surfaces Conference, which was held as a hybrid event on June 29 and 30, 2021.

After a long Corona-related break, the Deburring Technologies and Precision Surfaces Conference organized by fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG successfully made a fresh start with its ninth edition. A total of 45 people participated in the event on June 29 and 30, 2021, which was held as a hybrid event for the first time, with 24 attending online. Both the in-person attendees and the speakers enjoyed the opportunity to exchange ideas in person again and to deepen topics discussed during the presentations through direct conversations. The online participants also actively took advantage of the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers and to participate in live chat discussions. Among the eleven exhibitors, whose booths could also be visited virtually, there was a high motivation to be present on site and to showcase their solutions. They were satisfied with their participation in the event.

Broad-based expertise

The two-day program included a total of 17 presentations across six topics related to deburring, the production of precision surfaces, and automated quality control, which were streamed live. The speakers from academia, research, and industry provided extensive knowledge about the latest developments and practical process solutions. The overall rating of the conference with a grade of 1.6 reflects that fairXperts fully met the expectations of the participants with its program. This was supported by statements such as "interesting presentations and diverse topics" and "the conference was very informative, and even as an online participant, I felt like I was there live." The good organization before and during the event, as well as its technical execution, were also praised.

The next event focusing on deburring technologies and the production of precision surfaces is DeburringEXPO. The leading trade fair will be held from October 12 to 14, 2021, at the Karlsruhe exhibition grounds as an in-person event. Visitors can expect a comprehensive range of solutions for new and established challenges in these manufacturing steps. Additionally, the exhibition spectrum will be complemented by the theme parks
"Automated Deburring with Industrial Robots," "Cleaning after Deburring," and "AM Parts Finishing." Furthermore, the three-day integrated specialist forum at DeburringEXPO ensures that knowledge transfer is not neglected. Presentations by renowned speakers from industry and research will enable visitors to deepen their understanding of current topics, new solutions, and trends across all exhibition segments.
