DeburringEXPO – efficiently achieving burr-free and precise high-quality surfaces

Just over ten months before the gates of DeburringEXPO open for the second time, the occupied net exhibition space is 36 percent above the result of the successful inaugural event in 2015. This significant increase demonstrates that the trade fair for deburring technology and precision surfaces, which will take place from October 10 to 12, 2017, at the exhibition grounds in Karlsruhe, is already regarded by exhibitors as the industry meeting point. The accompanying technical forum of DeburringEXPO will feature simultaneous translated lectures (German – English) at the upcoming trade fair. The organizer, fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG, is thus responding to the growing international demand for knowledge about deburring and the production of precision surfaces.

The clearly defined scope of topics focused on deburring, rounding, and the production of precision surfaces, along with the resulting highly targeted customer approach, are advantages that make DeburringEXPO appealing to providers of products and services in this field. This is at least suggested by the strong demand for booth space at the 2nd trade fair for deburring technology and precision surfaces. Ten months before the start of the fair, the occupied net exhibition space is 36 percent above the total exhibition space of the inaugural 2015 event. The exhibitor list already includes around 110 companies from ten countries, surpassing the total number of exhibitors at the first event. “Deburring and the production of precision surfaces are topics that are increasingly coming into focus for manufacturing companies due to rising demands for quality, process reliability, and productivity, as well as growing cost pressures. We are therefore pleased to be able to present an even more comprehensive offering to visitors,” reports Hartmut Herdin, Managing Director of the organizing fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG.

Technology platform with high utility value

As the technology platform for deburring, rounding, and the production of precision surfaces, DeburringEXPO offers not only a representative overview of various systems, machines, and tools, as well as measurement, testing, and analysis systems. The trade fair also provides information on current trends and the latest developments. These include, among others, innovative tooling solutions for mechanical deburring with a defined cutting edge, which open up a broader range of applications with higher efficiency. New products for thermal deburring (TEM), which can remove burrs from components made of metallic materials and thermoplastics even in very hard-to-reach areas, include, for example, systems specially developed for deburring plastic parts and systems with square deburring chambers. The latter not only expand the range of workpieces that can be processed but also enable optimized parts handling.

Bilingual technical forum – knowledge and experience exchange

The exhibitors’ offerings are complemented by the integrated three-day technical forum, which already established itself as a sought-after source of knowledge with 1,473 participants at the first event. Visitors have the opportunity here to learn about the fundamentals and expert knowledge of innovative technologies for deburring and rounding, as well as for the production of precision surfaces, through lectures. Practical examples and benchmark solutions also provide ideas and inspiration for process optimization within their own companies. “To meet the high demand for information on deburring, rounding, and the production of precision surfaces internationally, we will conduct the technical forum bilingually from DeburringEXPO 2017 onward. The lectures will be simultaneously translated (German <-> English),” adds Hartmut Herdin.
