The Dauphin HumanDesign Group is consistently committed to environmental protection and sustainability. The office furniture supplier from Offenhausen uses environmentally friendly materials in production, consumes little energy, and reduces waste. "Our overarching goal is to preserve the
living and economic foundations for future generations through responsible action," emphasizes Armin Grotz, Head of Quality, Service, and Environmental Management at the Dauphin Group.

The Dauphin Group aligns its environmental protection and sustainability efforts with the requirements of the umbrella organization of the European
office furniture industry, FEMB. Accordingly, the affiliated companies use exclusively wood from emission group E1 for their production, which corresponds to the lowest potential formaldehyde emissions. Furthermore, recycled plastic parts made from polyurethane, polypropylene, polyamide, and ABS are used, which pose no risk to health or the environment and are fully recyclable. The mechanisms and frames are consistently made from low-alloy, recyclable steel, with all metal surfaces free of chromium VI.

In production, transportation, storage, sales, and disposal, Dauphin continuously ensures the highest possible energy efficiency. Since 2016, only electricity generated from hydropower has been used, which is 100 percent CO2-neutral. Overall, the CO2 emissions caused by heating oil, electricity, and fuel consumption have been reduced by over 40 percent from 2012 to 2016.

The company's commitment is also recognized officially. Its environmental management system is certified according to the international environmental and sustainability standard DIN EN ISO 14001 and, in production, development, and management, according to the stricter regulation (EC) No. 1221/2009 (EMAS). And as for the furniture itself: all product families carry the BIFMA Level E3 certification, several office swivel chairs bear the Blue Angel. Additionally, Dauphin received the prestigious "Sustainable Manufacturer" award in 2011 and 2015.
