CWS-boco publishes new sustainability report

On September 18, 2015, CWS-boco presented its new sustainability report (CR report) for the year 2014. The company consistently implements its goals for greater corporate responsibility.

Thus, the total water consumption was further reduced by 48,992 cubic meters. In 2014, CWS-boco washed more laundry at its nine largest locations while consuming less water than the previous year. Additionally, energy efficiency in the laundries was increased, and around 850,000 kilometers of travel were saved in the service fleet. The implementation of the mandatory supplier code of conduct demonstrates the strategic importance that sustainability has at CWS-boco.

The sustainability report meets the criteria of the official GRI G4 standard of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). To define the content more precisely, a stakeholder analysis was conducted in advance with employees, customers, suppliers, and partners. Based on the results, the company set its goals and priorities for the future. The report covers the following chapters along the business model: customers and employees, products and origin, laundry and technology, as well as logistics and service. Therefore, the CR report provides a deeper insight into the reporting fields than ever before.

Multiple-use instead of single-use is the goal. In the business model, offering textile services under the two brands CWS and boco Textiles, the idea of sustainability runs through all business processes. The aim is to become the leading and most sustainable provider of textile services in Europe.
