The anniversary event of fairXperts stands for optimal knowledge transfer and effective information gathering on technologies for deburring, precision surface manufacturing, and industrial component cleaning. Topics that are increasingly important in manufacturing due to transformation processes and higher quality demands. The 10th Conference on Deburring Technologies and Precision Surfaces will be held on May 17 and 18, 2022, at K3N in Nuremtingen.

Changing requirements for surface properties, new and modified manufacturing processes, the trend towards automation and digitalization of production processes, as well as the demand for sustainable production, are just some of the challenges that must be addressed through structural change in various areas of industry. They also impact manufacturing steps such as deburring, the production of precision surfaces, and component cleaning. To meet the requirements in these areas both technically and economically, information and knowledge about new developments and trends are just as essential as best-practice solutions. These topics are the focus of the 10th Conference on Deburring Technologies and Precision Surfaces by fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG.

Concentrated know-how for optimized processes

The anniversary event of the private trade fair and conference organizer will take place on May 17 and 18, 2022, at the K3N Culture and Conference Center in Nuremtingen. It is divided into six thematic blocks.

The session "Mechanical Deburring with Tools" provides information on innovative deburring solutions for series production. Among other things, effective technologies for deburring cross-holes smaller than two millimeters and for processing multiple cross-holes in a single operation will be presented.
The lecture series "Mechanical Deburring with Special Equipment" discusses, for example, a new blasting technology for highly efficient, energy-saving, and gentle processing of metal and plastic components and surfaces. Efficient solutions for processing cross-holes and internal surfaces will also be introduced.

The "Contactless Deburring with Ultrasound" session covers the basics, application areas, and advantages of laser deburring, as well as the technical and economic aspects under which the use of electrochemical deburring makes sense in production.
The conference also addresses the increasingly strong trend of automating production processes with the topic block "Mechanical Deburring with Industrial Robots".

Whether it is the quality of subsequent processes such as coating, bonding, and assembly, or ensuring flawless component function – requirement-compliant clean workpieces are a must. The session "Surface Cleaning for Process Reliability – Removing Burr Residues" provides information on solutions for achieving the necessary component cleanliness in a stable and efficient manner, including the role of pre-process design.

Rising quality demands and stricter requirements for traceability also require systematic and reproducible recording and documentation of results in surface technology processes such as deburring. Solutions for this are presented in the lecture block "Automated Quality Inspection of Surfaces".

The lecture program is rounded off by an accompanying exhibition. Participants benefit from this event not only through presentations of new developments and practical process solutions but also through direct exchange of experiences with experts. It thus offers valuable insights for process optimization in their own operations.
