The spring plunger FSTIm and FSTImc can be individually adapted to meet different requirements. This provides companies with tailored solutions for their automation systems. To make the design process quick and easy, Schmalz offers a new online configurator with integrated error prevention.

Small-sized spring plungers have proven themselves in the electronics industry, pharmaceutical sector, and cleanroom applications: Thanks to the smooth-moving spring, they handle very delicate workpieces gently and, in combination with a flat vacuum gripper, offer particularly high positional accuracy. Their compact size allows them to fit even into tight assembly lines. Due to the internal spring and reduced tubing—especially with the profile version of the FSTImc—the generation of particles is minimized. An additional benefit: significantly reduced installation and maintenance times. Surface tolerances are also no problem for these small powerhouses. Thanks to their smooth movement and compact design, the FSTImc spring plungers in cartridge construction can reliably handle delicate workpieces.

With just a few clicks to the right spring plunger

To accelerate the design of automation systems and eliminate potential sources of error, Schmalz launches a configurator for the FSTIm/FSTImc spring plungers. Designers and engineers save valuable time in development with this online tool. They can, for example, choose between different plunger types, specify the type of vacuum connection, the design, the type of vacuum gripper, or the threaded connection. The spring plungers support features such as ESD in their respective variants. The complete solution, including fastening elements and vacuum cups, can be implemented in planning via CAD model after configuration.
