1711_VIP3000_Member Meeting

On November 9th and 10th, this year's Autumn General Meeting of the VIP3000 Association of the Interest Group for Pharmaceutical Construction 3000 e.V. took place. The host was the member company Kemmlit-Bauelemente GmbH, Dusslingen. 34 out of a total of 54 members gathered for the exchange of information, which VIP3000 invites twice a year.

The look at the membership numbers showed another increase, and there were again exciting lectures and a factory tour. Kemmlit-Bauelemente presented the - alongside the sanitary segment - successfully developed area for the production of cleanroom furniture. A state-of-the-art, computer-controlled manufacturing process combined with Kaizen process optimization methods has enabled the company to offer customers not only high-quality products but also very fast service with long-term guarantees. The participants gained an impression of this in the exemplary organized factory hall.

The technical lecture by Trespa Deutschland GmbH complemented the topic by explaining the manufacturing technology of high-quality, durable building panels. These are used not only on building facades but increasingly in pharmaceutical interior construction because they are particularly resistant to chemicals, heat, and microbial growth due to their special treatment process.

That success ultimately also depends on the course of the entire project, despite the best products, was made clear by the technical lecture from Drees & Sommer GmbH on the topic of "Modern Project Management".

In addition to their engagement with technical topics, VIP3000 also maintains close connections with universities and research institutions to keep the knowledge of its member companies up to date. Professor Dr. Andreas Schmidt, Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University, was a guest at the autumn meeting and introduced the university and its current projects. In collaboration with Albstadt-Sigmaringen University, VIP3000 not only publishes the quarterly newsletter but also awards the "VIP3000 Award" annually for the best master's thesis in pharmaceutical technology.

These and other contributions, led by Ralf Gengenbach, VIP3000 President and Managing Director of gempex GmbH, made the meeting as always very engaging.

The personal exchange of experiences was not neglected during the evening Get-Together. The fact that VIP3000 members also show passion was made clear during a tour of the "Boxenstop Tübingen" automobile museum. In addition to a regional dinner, the owner provided almost glowing explanations of the exhibits – a challenge for the organizer of the next meeting.
