These are the requirements for spatial portals, which are used, for example, for automation tasks in handling areas or in testing automation. igus has now developed a new compact portal, whose application is ideally suited for such scenarios. It is already available for delivery within 24 hours. The complete solution, consisting of lubrication- and maintenance-free timing belt axes and motors, is available directly from stock at a price of €1,799.

The automation of production processes is becoming increasingly important for mechanical engineering to produce products in the shortest possible time and at low cost. Therefore, igus has developed a new, particularly compact spatial portal that can be delivered quickly and is also cost-effective at €1,799. The new lubrication- and maintenance-free drylin E spatial portal is suitable for a variety of applications, whether in medical technology with high safety requirements, in tasks in microelectronics, or for pick & place tasks in small series. In a small working space of 400 x 400 x 100 millimeters, this small complete solution can carry loads of up to 2.5 kilograms at maximum speeds of up to 0.5 meters per second. "Two drylin ZLW timing belt axes and one drylin GRW rack-and-pinion axis ensure precise guidance and a maintenance-free operation, thanks to sliding elements made from high-performance plastics," explains Alexander Mühlens, Head of Project Development for drylin Drive Technology at igus. Optional connection elements for construction profiles are also available. The portal is delivered ready for connection with NEMA17/23 stepper motors and encoders within 24 hours. This allows the customer to mount their product on the machine as early as the next day.

All portals include pre-configured drylin linear modules and linear axes with NEMA stepper motors, as well as all the components necessary for self-assembly.
