Commissioning of a hazardous substance storage at the Pharma and Life Science Park Marburg

The site operator Pharmaserv GmbH announces the commissioning of a new GMP-compliant hazardous substance warehouse for pharmaceutical raw materials with a capacity of 1,400 pallet spaces in the Görzhausen plant section through its logistics division. This state-of-the-art warehouse represents a significant milestone in its development as an integrated site operator as well as a logistics service provider for the pharmaceutical industry.

The new multi-user warehouse is qualified for temperatures of 15°-25°C and features two loading ramps equipped with media retention systems, as well as a WGK foil to protect against water-hazardous substances. Four separate storage rooms, called compartments, enable the storage of different classes of goods through separate fire compartments. Additionally, fire water and media retention, as well as an alarm system and gas warning system, are integrated to ensure the highest safety standards.

A production-related hazardous substance warehouse is of great importance for pharmaceutical manufacturing, as it stores raw materials that are classified under the Hazardous Substances Ordinance and the Water Resources Act in Germany. The new warehouse meets these requirements and thus provides a safe and legally compliant storage solution directly on site.

The new warehouse building strengthens Pharmaserv's broad range of services as an integrated site operator and offers a further customized logistics solution.
