Cleanzone and BMWi promote start-ups
At Cleanzone 2020 on November 18 and 19, there will be a dedicated support area for young innovative companies for the first time. Together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), Messe Frankfurt promotes companies that offer innovative solutions for the design and operation of production facilities that manufacture in a clean environment.
More and more companies want to consistently avoid contamination risks in their production and are turning to cleanroom technology. To make production processes efficient and safe, innovations are needed—especially in the areas of digitalization, automation, and robotics. Therefore, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and Messe Frankfurt support young companies offering innovative technologies and deciding to participate in Cleanzone on November 18 and 19 in Frankfurt am Main. The inclusion of Cleanzone in the support program was driven by the international orientation of the trade fair.
A joint booth will be set up for participating companies at the international cleanroom trade fair. Cleanzone offers young innovators the opportunity to connect with top international companies from all industries that use cleanroom technology: from the pharmaceutical industry to medical technology, food industry, microtechnology, and space travel.
The support area is aimed at companies that are less than ten years old, have their headquarters and operations in Germany, and employ fewer than fifty staff. Interested startups should also have an annual turnover of no more than ten million euros. Those wishing to participate in the "Innovation made in Germany" support area must first submit an application to the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA). BAFA handles the approval and financial processing. For the first two trade fair participations, 60 percent of the costs will be subsidized.
