Cleanzone 2018: Protecting Employees and Products

Today conventional production – tomorrow already manufacturing in cleanrooms. Through technological change, new high-tech products are emerging such as emission-reduced automotive drives, ultra-high-resolution image recognition systems, or highly complex medicines. To ensure optimal product quality and protect employees from highly toxic substances, manufacturing must take place in the purest environments. How to optimally implement the requirements for purity is demonstrated by around 80 manufacturers at the international trade fair Cleanzone on October 23 and 24 in Frankfurt am Main. Whether visitors from the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, or microtechnology come to Cleanzone, the exhibitors have suitable solutions ready for each application. The industry shows an even more comprehensive offering in 2018 with over 30 percent more space compared to the previous event.

Market leaders from all areas of cleanliness technology present themselves at the trade fair in Hall 5.1. From planning, construction, and commissioning to consumables and clothing to measurement and monitoring technology, Cleanzone presents everything needed for a modern cleanroom.

In-depth expertise on the industry’s trend topics is provided by the Cleanzone Conference, which takes place parallel to the trade fair. Whether it’s about cleanrooms for modern personalized medicine, digital simulations of processes during construction or production, aspects of data and counterfeit security, efficiency, or simply the cleanroom tailored to specific needs, the four lecture series provide participants with insights into modern cleanliness technology. The four conference blocks are titled: “Cleanroom for Life,” “Upgrade your cleanroom efficiency,” “Clean Life Sciences – The next level,” and “Cleanroom: Modeling the future.”

At the Cleanzone Plaza in the middle of the trade fair activities, panel discussions, exhibitor presentations, the presentation of the nominees, and the award ceremony of the Cleanroom Award 2018 by ReinraumAkademie take place. The country portraits successfully introduced in 2017 are continued. In 2018, the focus is on the renowned Russia expert Alex Stolarsky from Schneider Group, who will speak in his lecture about aspects such as legal regulations, cross-border transactions, foreign investments, or setting up production in Russia. The insight into the Russian market is rounded off by a practical example describing the construction of a pharmaceutical plant on greenfield land. Other highlights of the Cleanzone Plaza include a panel discussion on the future of cleanroom technology titled “Cleanroom Technology 5.0,” the use of mobile laboratories for developing antibiotic substitutions for oceanographic fish farming, or a lecture on international product liability law.
