The topic of technical cleanliness and component cleaning is gaining importance at Cleanzone. For the first time, the Cleaning Excellence Center Leonberg (CEC), a competence network dedicated to the topic of cleanrooms, is presenting itself at Cleanzone. The international trade fair with a congress for cleanroom technology will take place on October 27 and 28, 2015, in Frankfurt am Main. Ruth Lorenz, Head of Technology & Production at Messe Frankfurt, is pleased about this addition to Cleanzone: "With the topic of technical cleanliness, we are expanding the product range of Cleanzone to include an important area of production in a cleanliness-relevant environment. Visitors to Cleanzone can thus obtain even more comprehensive information about which level of purity is most suitable for their product."

Trade visitors can expect a good mix of exhibitors related to technical cleanliness from the fields of plant engineering, analytics, laboratory technology, and measurement instruments. Among them are Clean Controlling, LPW High Purity, Nerling System Rooms, and Maschinenfabrik Heute. The joint booth is complemented by a presentation from the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation (IPA). Christian Siegert, Managing Director of CEC, explains why the competence network is presenting itself at Cleanzone for the first time: "Anyone manufacturing products must continuously educate themselves. What is needed? A cleanroom? Is a clean space sufficient? Which cleaning method suits the product? Cleanzone, as an industry meeting point, is ideal for this. You can get comprehensive information and contact manufacturers."

Basically, the goal in both cleanrooms and clean spaces is to maintain pure conditions and to raise awareness throughout the entire production process. The requirements in clean spaces are lower, especially regarding particle size. Therefore, in clean spaces, systems such as airlocks or special cleanroom clothing can be dispensed with. The cleanroom is typically a separate room with a ventilation system. In the automotive industry, developments in engine technology over recent years have led to increasingly higher requirements for technical cleanliness. Even the smallest particles can cause failures or a fingerprint on a circuit board can trigger a short circuit. Due to developments in the automotive industry and the resulting guidelines VDA 19 Parts 1 and 2, Germany is a pioneer in the field of technical cleanliness.

At Cleanzone 2015, around 80 exhibitors will present themselves. The product range includes construction and planning, climate and ventilation technology, consumables and clothing, monitoring and quality control, as well as training and further education.
