Cleanroom wipes

Almost every cleanroom uses special cloths. The fact that they should be lint-free is often just one criterion.

The requirements for a cleanroom cloth can vary greatly depending on the application:

- ISO Classes 3-8
- Lint-free or low-lint
- Chemical resistant
- High moisture absorption
- Sealed seams
- Microfiber structure
- High tensile strength
- Conductive
- Sterile / non-sterile

In critical areas, ISO 3 - ISO 5, microfiber nylon or polyester cloths are usually used. In less critical areas, cellulose cloths can also be employed. For cleaning production tools and other equipment, as well as removing lubricants and adhesives, and for cleaning gloves, notebooks, phones, and other items before entering the cleanroom, cloths pre-soaked with a solution of 70% isopropanol alcohol and 30% deionized water are suitable.
